Everyone has rights to choose his life.
Although the proverb says "the eldest brother is like the father,"
I think I don't have rights to decide your direction.
No one can promise that my choice is always right.
Maybe after couples of years,
my direction comes out totally wrong.

Different philosophy of life leads to different life.
I don't know what the future looks like.

No matter what obstacles we met, just be optimistic and keep going ahead.
Life is full of frustrations.
If we pay too much attention to what we cannot change,
we will have little time to do what we can do.
Don't waste time on regret or sadness.
Go through it and toward the Goal.

Today's dinner

今天想說, 不要每餐都煮泡麵,
在沒有室友的協助下,
獨自完成了下面的晚餐:

• 一碗高麗+花椰菜蛋炒飯
• 四塊牛排+小黃瓜
• 六塊有點焦掉的豆皮

試了一口後,
好難吃喔, Help!!!
牛肉不熟就算了, 還有股腥味,
豆皮也是乾乾苦苦的,
只有蛋炒飯還算OK,
上次室友教過我,
但實在受不了那牛肉,
乾脆改成醃牛肉,
用醬油+糖(這次不會再加成鹽了),
把切成小塊的牛肉泡一泡,再煎一次,
經過千辛萬苦,
就算油一直噴到手,
為了吃這昂貴的牛肉,
就讓它噴,
努力地把它煎熟,
之後變成下面這副德性.

吃一口發現, 味道還是不對, Shit!!!

只好用大決,

番茄醬+蘋果汁,

直接在口中調味,

這下可難不倒我了吧.

很勉強地吃完了一半,

剩下一半,

打算明天中午包成便當,

帶去lab再戰.

真的好難吃喔,

整個吃飯過程最開心的時候,

就是喝蘋果汁.

還好有買蘋果汁,

決定明晚還是吃泡麵好了.

A new life at UW in Seattle

來西雅圖剛好一周,

一個快速且充實的一周,

在室友Shawn的協助下,

這一周內完成了許多任務.

這裡除了氣候之外,

其他事情都還算適應,

乾冷的氣候害我隔天就感冒,

去逛outlet還流鼻血,

真糗.

另個朋友聽說也同樣流鼻血, 哈,

雖然我很不喜歡在身上擦些有的沒的,

但是由於氣候比較乾, 好像大家都會擦.

關於煮菜方面,

I am never good at that.

第一次煎雞肉,

Shawn說可以先醃一下,加點醬油跟糖,

我加成醬油跟鹽,

煎成鹹雞肉.

第一次炒高麗菜,

我竟然沒切也沒洗,

整顆放下去,

我想說它會自己散開吧,

而且我喜歡吃大片一點, 哈.

為了不要每餐都泡麵, 看來我還有得磨.

這周有去了這附近的Kirkland逛逛,

沿著Lake Washington的一個城市,

風景很美, 我也很幸運的抓到夏天的尾巴, 天氣也不錯^^

前幾天晚上,

從朋友家裡出來,

看到一隻跑出來翻垃圾桶的浣熊,

Sorry, 太暗了, 也沒相機,

只好補張松鼠圖. (on my way to lab)

(聽說UW看到松鼠的機率比看到貓狗的機率大)

Btw, I have chosen a English name, Alex.

That's because I heard hundreds of times "cool" everyday.

So, kool will be my nickname.

And my official English name is Alex.

It is cool, isn't it? ^^

I feel pretty good in Seattle.

I will share someting exciting more with you. ^^
